Ampverse DMI has launched the highly-anticipated third season of India’s premier collegiate gaming talent hunt, College Rivals Season 3, spanning 70 colleges across 20+ cities. This season introduces an exciting new BGMI squad option, that allows college students to form their own teams and compete, bringing a fresh level of strategy, collaboration, and campus pride to the competition. Registrations for the tournament have kicked off from August 6.
Building on the record-breaking success of its second season, which achieved an impressive 110 million reach and over 2 lakh registrations — College Rivals now steps into its third season with an ambitious expansion plan. For the first time, the tournament will extend its footprint to East India, into the national circuit. This strategic move ensures true pan-India representation while unlocking a wealth of untapped gaming talent from every corner of the country.
In addition to retaining its popular solo BGMI format and fan-favourite titles like EA Sports FC25 and Valorant, College Rivals Season 3 will tap into the rising popularity of Chess as an esports discipline. For the first time, Chess will debut as an official demonstrative sport, adding a fresh dimension to the competitive lineup. The nationwide tour, featuring both online and offline events, will kick off in Delhi NCR on August 11, with the action broadcast across approximately 20 live streams.
Sumedha Mahajan, Head of Marketing, Operations and Client growth at Ampverse DMI, said, “College Rivals Season 3 is about pushing boundaries and meeting the evolving expectations of India’s gaming community. By introducing new formats and expanding our presence across the country, we’re not just growing in scale, but also strengthening the ecosystem students need to thrive. Collaborations with top teams and creators ensure that College Rivals isn’t just a competition, rather a movement that equips young gamers with the skills, exposure, and networks to turn their passion into lasting careers.”
